Touch...

Just watched Fox's "Touch" for the second time.

The new Fox show premiered last Wednesday night. It's about a father learning how to deal with his gifted son.

I love the premise of the show that everyone is intertwined/linked/connected with one another. It's like the Chinese "Red Thread of Fate" myth. In this myth, everyone is connect by a red thread that is tied to their ankles. This thread cross and get intertwined but never break.

I can't for the second show to be broadcast and see where the writer's take us.

Stressful day of work...

Today was one of the most stressful day at work. Nothing seemed to go right. I was running reports after reports. Again and again. It was the same report. I don't what was wrong but I couldn't get my mind on straight. My lunch was delay an hour and half. I was very hungry when I finally finished the report. But, things got worse when reports I generated last month was wrong. I was lectured on why and what happened. All I could say was it was my first time doing these tasks and I over looked a couple of key steps. Thus, the reports were wrong. I felt very low and down by the end of the day. I'm thinking that it's time to move on. During my bus ride home, I sent a prayer to God that he'd grace me with the honor of winning tonight's lottery. In Jesus Christ..I ended my prayer.

Grey A. Quote...

Take from this week's episode of "Grey's Anatomy:

"..More yesterdays than tomorrows.." - Dr. Weber

Dr Weber said this line as he was reflecting his career and life in general.

It made me think that I should live for today because I can't bring back the past and future is unknown.

Also, this brings to mind the recent death in the family, on Monday 1/9/12, Tony's dad passed away. The death was unexpected. It just shows that life can be cut short and unpredictable. My sympathy goes to Tony and his family.

So, I live life to the fullest every single day and don't forget to say the 3 words before it's too late.

Leaves..branches..roots..

I watched Tyler Perry's "Madea Goes To Jail - The Play" today.

One of many things that I learned from the play was the following:

People are like trees. They are leaves which sway as the wind blows from one side to the other and they are seasonal. They come, shade for a while, and then blow away. Or they are branches which are strong until they break and no longer there for support. Or they are roots which firmly plant themselves and are the foundation for growth. Finding people who are "roots" will be there for you for a lifetime.

Thank you Mr. Perry for this play.

Forgiveness...and Tyler Perry

One of the many things that I've learned from Mr. Tyler Perry and his stage play/movies is the power of forgiveness.

You must forgive the one that hurt you. And then, you must forgive yourself. By doing so, you remove the "power" that the person has on you. You remove the "power" that situation has on you. From there you can move forward and live your life.

Thank you Mr. Perry.

In memory of Aunt Jackie...you'll be missed...

Heaven just got a little crowded..

Just received the news that sweetheart's Aunt Jackie is in heaven with him and his Mom, her sister.

Sherri Marie called to give me the sad news that Aunt Jackie passed away last month on December 12, 2011 due to cancer. Aunt Jackie was diagnosed with cancer in July 2011. Her doctors gave her 6 months to live and she did. According to Sherri Marie, the cancer was aggressive.

I expressed my sympathy to Sherri Marie and her mom.

After the call, I went to sweetheart's urn and gave him the news. I told sweetie that Aunt Jackie is now with him, his mom (her sister) and his brother. I asked sweetie to say hi to Aunt Jackie for me.

Aunt Jackie was lovely lady. I spoke to her many times on the phone. I wished I had the honor of meeting her.

Heaven has another angel..Aunt Jackie.

The Big Waste...Food Network

I'm watching "The Big Waste" on The Food Network.

I'm learning a lot about how much food is wasted on the daily basis.

Bobby Flay, Michael Symon, Anne Burrell, and Alex Guarnaschelli were give the task of feeding 100 people with food marked as "unusable" and meant for the trash.

The chefs visit retailers, wholesales, and every day people who go thru "garbage" to see what good food is be tossed away. Anne's dumpster dive was very eye opening. Alex's visit to a fruit orchid shows how not "perfect" produce is okay to eat. According to Bobby's visit to an orchard 40% food is wasted. When Alex and Michael visits the "compost pile" of a farm show how non perfect and "slightly damaged" fruit and vegetables are okay to eat and use. Alex's visit to an egg farm showed how eggs comes in different sizes and colors. It's these not "perfect" eggs are wasted. Just as Michael visits a meat market and see how the desired "perfect cut" is wanted and the "by products", which are perfectly fine, are trashed.

It show was amazing and eye opening.

3 Words...

Last week, I was watching ABC News with David Muir and there was a segment called 3 Words. In this segment, viewers posted videos of themselves and 3 words that meant something to them.

Tonight, I was watching NBC's Parenthood. The episode was about Zeke's family road trip to celebrate his mother's 86th birthday. During the the final scene, Zeke explained to his mother what he always told his kids and wanted to hear from his mom.

3 words: I love you.

This brings to me to my life. I try to follow this belief that you say "I Love You" to the ones you love every single day. Because, you don't know when that person will no longer be there to say I Love You to.

In 3 weeks, it will be the 2nd anniversary of the day that I lost my sweetheart. I did get a chance to say I Love You before for work that day. But, I miss saying those 3 words to him since he's no longer with me. I think about him every minute of the day. I miss him dearly. I keep him in my prayers every night.

I Love You, sweetheart. Always.

Please don't forget to say these 3 words to your loved ones.
